How the Patriot Air Shock Works

Traditional coilover shocks use a fixed-rate spring to support the vehicle's weight. Leaf springs use stacked steel leaves with a progressive rate. Both are compromises — tuned for one scenario and merely adequate at everything else. The Patriot Air Shock eliminates that trade-off.

By replacing the mechanical spring with a sealed, pressurized air chamber, you gain the ability to change the effective spring rate on demand. Increase pressure for heavy loads or towing. Decrease it for a plush highway ride. The air spring can be tuned to mimic a linear coil spring curve for responsive off-road handling or a progressive leaf spring curve for load-carrying stability — or anything in between.

The integrated hydraulic dampening system uses a 4-inch billet aluminum piston that flows more oil than any other dampening piston available. This means better heat dissipation, more consistent damping across long descents or washboard terrain, and a smoother ride under every condition. The internal hydraulic bump stop adds a final layer of tunability, preventing harsh bottom-outs without sacrificing travel.
