Partners & Colleagues

Building the best restomod and pro touring 4x4 trucks requires the best partners. These are the companies we trust to deliver the same standard of quality we demand from ourselves.

Patriot Chassis builds every chassis in-house at our shop in Ponderay, Idaho — but no builder works alone. Our restomod and pro touring builds rely on a network of trusted partners who share our commitment to precision engineering and American manufacturing. From advanced fabrication technology to drivetrain components and suspension hardware, these companies play a critical role in every rolling chassis that leaves our facility.

We don't partner with just anyone. Every company on this page has earned its place through years of proven performance, quality materials, and a shared passion for building classic trucks the right way. Whether it's a 47-55 Chevy, 67-72 C/K, 73-87 square-body, a K5 Blazer Independence Series build, a Ford Bronco, or a Dodge Power Wagon Type D restoration, these partners help us deliver a finished product that meets the Patriot standard.

Companies We Work With

PIT Innovations — engineering and advanced fabrication partner for Patriot Chassis custom builds

PIT Innovations

PIT Innovations is our primary engineering and fabrication partner. Specializing in advanced automotive manufacturing, PIT brings cutting-edge CNC machining, laser cutting, and precision welding capabilities that complement our in-house production. Their expertise in tooling design and prototype development has been instrumental in bringing new Patriot Chassis products to market — including components for our patent-pending air shock system. Together, we push the boundaries of what's possible in classic truck chassis engineering.

Premium Components in Every Build

We spec every component in a Patriot Chassis build for maximum durability and performance. Here are some of the brands and suppliers whose products go into our custom rolling chassis platforms.

  • AAM (American Axle & Manufacturing) — Front 9.25" and rear 11.5" differentials used across our IFS and 4-link suspension platforms. AAM axles are OEM-spec components designed for heavy-duty truck applications, delivering the strength and reliability our 4x4 builds demand.
  • Fox Racing Shocks — 2.5" coilover shocks come standard on every Patriot Chassis. Fox coilovers are tuned specifically for our suspension geometry, delivering predictable damping and long-travel performance on- and off-road.
  • GM OEM Components — We use factory GMC one-ton unit bearings and CV shafts in our IFS front suspension. OEM components ensure proven reliability, readily available replacement parts, and compatibility with modern service tools.
  • American-Sourced Steel — All Patriot Chassis frames are built from domestically sourced HREW (Hot Rolled Electric Welded) steel and DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) tubing. HREW provides consistent wall thickness and weld integrity for main rails. DOM tubing delivers the precise tolerances needed for suspension links and critical structural components.
  • 7075-T6 Billet Aluminum — Our patent-pending Patriot Air Shock is machined from 7075-T6 aerospace-grade billet aluminum — the same alloy used in aircraft landing gear. This material provides a strength-to-weight ratio that no cast or extruded aluminum can match.

Why Partnerships Matter

Building a modern restomod chassis for a classic truck is not a one-man job. Every Patriot Chassis rolling platform integrates components from multiple suppliers — differentials, bearings, shocks, fasteners, steel — and each one has to meet the same standard. A chassis is only as strong as its weakest component, which is why we're selective about who we work with and what goes into every build.

Our partnerships aren't transactional. We work closely with our suppliers and collaborators to test fitment, validate geometry, and ensure every part performs the way it should under real-world conditions. When we spec a Fox coilover for our 4-link rear or an AAM 11.5" differential for a pro touring K5 Blazer build, it's because we've tested it in that specific application — not because it was the cheapest option on the shelf.

This approach extends to our turn-key builds as well. When a customer brings us a donor truck for a full turn-key build, every component in the finished vehicle has been vetted, sourced, and integrated by our team. No off-the-shelf bolt-on kits, no guesswork. Just precision engineering from a team of partners who build to the same standard.
